What a month! Heavy underground artists from around the world served up a cornucopia of new music in February. Italy, USA, France, Switzerland, Austria, UK, Poland, and Germany are all represented in my top ten albums submitted to the monthly Doom Charts roundup.
Italian progressive psychedelic heavyweights Mr Bison top the list this month, with their spellbinding LP Echos From the Universe. Definitely an early AOTY contender. And I can’t get enough of this new one from Boston-based Sundrifter. Another one that’s sure to land high on my end-of-year roundup.
If doom metal is your jam, the self-titled debut from Witchorious is a must-listen. You can get weird with the latest from Disastroid! Or dig into some heavy blues from Austria’s Samsara Joyride. Want an instrumental psych space trip? Tune into Monkey3’s latest masterpiece, wow!
Finally, we have plenty of fresh takes on stoner doom, from the likes of Dead Runes, Gravity Well, Grin, and Weedow.
