Here we are again, another month in the rear view mirror. February was a massive month for new music. March proved to be even bigger, with heavy hitters from The USA, UK, Italy, Germany, Sweden, and Australia dropping new music. We’ve got all variations of stoner, proto, and occult doom on the list this month. A smoldering blues album from Messa guitarist Little Albert. Debuts from my Denver buds Hashtronaut, Wales badasses Goat Major, and Phoenix shapeshifters Daytripper. That Scorched Oak album, wow! An absolutely spellbinding album from Daevar. Another in-your-face ripper from Leather Lung. The soundtrack to a haunted mill from Sweden’s Malsten. Desert rock fans, the latest from Full Tone Generator is a must-listen. And at the top of the pile, the return of Los Angeles proto doom masterminds Early Moods, with their stunning second full length. These are the top ten albums I submitted for the March 2024 Doom Charts. And if ten albums isn’t enough for you, I’ve included ten more bonus albums below.
Thank you to all of the artists for making and sharing music!
