My Top 10 Albums for the May 2024 Doom Charts

Here we are, through the fifth month of 2024, racing toward the halfway mark. The month of May treated music fans well. Here are my top ten albums submitted to the May Doom Charts.

The list is topped by stunning offering from all-time doom favorites, Pallbearer. Discovering Urza this month was a real treat. Their latest, The Scorching Gaze, is one of the most intense albums of the year. Ufomammut unleashed possibly their finest work yet. “Texas Desert Rock” heavyweights High Desert Queen‘s Palm Reader is an instantly memorable album that just gets better with each listen. Abrams just keeps getting better with each new record. Blue City is a must-listen! And this is not the Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats album you were expecting. Be prepared to be blown away. Baardvader, The Hazytones, Huanastone, and Kayleth round out the top ten.
